1. Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the RuleForge service, available at ruleforge.online, operated by Nicolas Guy (sole proprietorship — Entreprise individuelle, SIRET 941 696 296 00032).

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms in their entirety.

2. Service Description

RuleForge is a web platform for creating, managing, and publishing board game rules. The service offers:

• A rich editor for writing rules
• Publishing and sharing rules
• Social features (likes, comments, favorites, follows)
• PDF export of rules
• An AI-powered consistency checker
• Collaboration between authors

3. Registration and Account

• Registration is free and open to any adult individual
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential
• Information provided must be accurate and kept up to date
• Only one account per person is allowed

4. Plans and Subscriptions

4.1 Free Plan

The free plan allows you to create and publish up to 2 rules, with access to the basic editor.

4.2 Blacksmith Plan (paid)

The Blacksmith plan offers additional features:

• Unlimited published rules
• PDF export
• Versioning and history
• Collaboration
• Advanced editor (images, tables, columns, callouts, colors)
• AI consistency checker (5 uses per day)
• Profile picture upload

4.3 Payment and Billing

• Payments are handled by Stripe
• Subscriptions are monthly and automatically renewed
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page
• Upon cancellation, access to Blacksmith features is maintained until the end of the current period

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain all intellectual property rights over the content you create and publish on RuleForge.

5.2 License Granted

By publishing content on RuleForge, you grant RuleForge a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content as part of operating the service. This license ends when you delete your content.

5.3 Prohibited Content

It is forbidden to publish content that is:

• Illegal, defamatory, abusive, or discriminatory
• Infringing on third-party intellectual property rights
• Containing personal data of third parties without their consent
• Spam or unauthorized advertising
• Containing malware

6. Artificial Intelligence

The AI consistency checker is provided for informational purposes only. Analysis results are automated suggestions and do not constitute professional advice. RuleForge does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of results provided by the AI.

By using this feature, you agree that the text content of your rule will be sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) for analysis. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Moderation

RuleForge reserves the right to moderate, suspend, or remove any content or account that violates these Terms, without prior notice or compensation. Users can report inappropriate content through the built-in reporting system.

8. Liability

• RuleForge is provided "as is", without guarantee of permanent availability
• RuleForge shall not be held liable for content published by users
• RuleForge shall not be held liable for indirect damages related to the use of the service
• Users are solely responsible for backing up their data

9. Termination

• You can delete your account at any time
• RuleForge may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, the competent courts of Montpellier, France, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Changes

RuleForge reserves the right to modify these Terms. Users will be notified of any substantial changes. Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
